News from the Oil Wells.
♦ [Special to the " Stab."] GISBORNE, Dec. 22. On Saturday night the depth to which the pipes had been sunk at the South Pacific oil wells was 90ip, and the drill was 35ft ahead, a total of 125 ft. The drill is still going through hard papa. Everything is encouraging.
