the world and <£500 a-side has been arranged between Hanlan and Beach, and will take place on the Parramatta river the first Saturday in May next year. A sculling match lias also been arranged between Clifford and Teemer for .£SOO a-side.
MELBOURNE, August 28. Garfield lias teen scratched for the Melbourne Cup. Sailed — Rotomahaua, s.s., for the Bluff.
