* FEOM THE OTAGO DAILY TIMES. [Special to the Star.] DUNEDIN, August 15. The Times of this morning severely criticises Sir Julius Vojjel for committing a series of tactical blunders, which are as nothing compared with the great blunder of subordinating himself to Mr Stout, and allowing his hand to be forced by Messrs Montgomery and Macandrew, when he only required firmness to have carried off • the honours. The writer then condemns Mr Stout for absenting himself from the capital for the purpose of looking after private business, while the condition of the Ministry was critical. The unparalleled occurrence, the Times contends, is one of which members and the countiy hare a right to complain, and must do the Ministry harm. It adds : " Sir Julius Yogel cannot afford to continue making such mistakes. • Attention to Parliamentary tactiea is absolutely necessary to the life of a Ministry." It distrusts the Ministry, but hopes it will receive fair play.
