THE ISTEBPBOVINOIAL MATOH. The Otago team arrived by the express last night, and were received at the Btation by a large crowd of footballers and their friends, estimated to number some 200. The visitors were heartily cheered, and the welcome over mounted a drag and went off to the Boyal Hotel, where thoy will put up during their short stay. Bobertson. To-day at 1 o'clook the combined teams, with some friends, to the number in all of 40, had lunoh at Warner's Commercial Hotel. The Captain of the Ohristchurch team presided, but no toasts or speeches were given, thoso present evidently baii*^ t_o intent upon the results of the coming struggle to indulge in sentiment. The team to represent Canterbury at Wellington has been slightly altered again. Parcon befog unable to get away, E. Millton will take his place, and Kesteven has been added to the team. The Oommittee havo had most unexpected difficulty in completing the fifteen, one man after another dropping out at the last moment, but though the backs will be muoh weaker than those playing against Otago to-day, the forwards will be almost, if ' not quite, as strong.
