Sculling— Hanlan v. Ross.

[Special to Pbesi? Association.] [Seeeived Jnly 21, at 1 p.m.] LONDON, July 20. The sculling race between Hanlan and Boss took place over a four- mile oourse at Odensburg, New fork, on July 18. The stakes were £200 a-side. Hanlan won easily by 20 lengths.

Ross and 00., of thiß city, report saleß of New Zealand timber ex Devonport, Madari, Virginia, and Oirce, as follows :— Kauri pine, average priceß per 100 ft super, hewn logs, 14s 6d; sawn flitches, 14s 6d; dressed boardß, half inch, 3s 2d; average prices per lOOf b lineal, T. and G. flooring, 6x i, 7s ; 4xi, 7s 6d ; 4x 1 inch, 4b ; white pine sawn boards, 9s 3d ; dressed boards, 10s per 100 ft super. The demand for timber has slackened, and the market is weak.
