Searching for Gold.
Several well-equipped prospecting parties are now engaged searching for gold in the valley of the Wilberforoe river, the northern branch of the head* waters of the Bakaia. Efforts are also being made to organise a party to prospeot the south branch of the river, where it is deemed probable that payable quartz reefs exist, judging from the specimens brought , therefrom by various persons recently.
