This shocking ca-e ought really to be investigated by tho police. Whit is the Dunedin Superintendent about that he does not immediately take the sohoolmasler into oustody on a oharge of attempt to murder. It is with deep regret that we hava to state that a brutal and uniympathiiing Committee failed to reoommend this course, did not even dismiss the master, and contented themselves with reoommending that on examination daye the usual -fchool hours should be adhered te.
