Nihilism in England. Laycock v. Boyd. Punishment of an Irish Obstructionist. "Urgency" Again. LONDON, July 3. Since the recent visit of the Prince of Wales to Bradford dynamite was found to be concealed in some of the bridges over which the Royal train passed. It is believed that the discovery reveals the existence of a plot against the Prince's life. The sculling match between Laycock and Boyd, for £200 a-side, was rowed on the Tees to-day, and won by Laycock by five lengths. The Homeward mails via Suez and Brindisi, which left Melbourne on May 23, were delivered here to-day. The Australian mails via Naples, which left Melbourne on May 30, per steamship Orient, were also delivered here today.

Consols have further advanced to 99| . New Zealand securities are quoted to-day as follows : — 5 per cent 10-40 loan, 106 ; 5 per cent 1889 loan, 106 ; 4| per cent 1879-1904 loan, 102.

Adelaide wheat, ex store, remains at 51s ; and New Zealand ditto, at 495. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 355.

Australian tallow is unchanged, at 42s 6d for best beef, and 43s 6d for best mutton.

LONDON, July 4.

Half the cargo of frozen meat ex steamship Cuzco has been sold. The carcases are not in first-class order; examination having proved that 10 per cent of them are affected by mildew.

In the House of Commons yesterday, the disorderly and obstructive conduct of Mr O'Donnell, M.P. for Donnegarvan, when the House was in Committee on Saturday last, was brought up for discussion. Mr O'Donnell, who, with other Irish members, was suspended on that occasion for obstruction, also made use of insulting language in alluding to the chair. A motion was, therefore, put and carried in the House yesterday that he should be suspended for a fortnight.

In consequence of the continued obstruction to the Irish Repression Bill, the system of voting urgency has been revived and adopted, with a view to expedite the passage of tbo measure through the House.

SYDNEY, July 4.

The railway extension from Narrandera to Hay was opened to-day by His Excellency Lord Loftus. Sir John Robertson, Sir Alfred Stephens, the Hons John Lackey, Eobert Wisdom, and a large number of distinguished persons were present at the ceremony, which passed off with great rejoicing.
