The Sydenham Boi 'ough Council met last evening at ee^en o'cl >ek ; present — His Worship the Major, Councillor/! Langdown, Andrew, Hallj B owno, Fo?rentcr, and Wobbor. Councillor Hall apologise-:! for the absenco of Councillor Pavitt, on account of a recent, bore* jvement. He proposed —"That as Hie funeral of the wifo e$ our CEtocmsd .coll|;ague, Councillor Pavitt, took plajß this d&yi tnis Council, as a mark of nympathy, do ftdffourn." Councillor Andrfew seconded the resolution. I The- Mayor cut itfoly agreed. Ho wished to mention thnt he hid received a telegrarafroni Mr White, M.H.R., which stated that the Government would appoint a resident medical man as vacennator for Sydenham, but would not procljtim tfydenham a separate district. Mr Whlito enquired what medical niun Iho Council Would recommend for the appointment.
