[Reuteb's Telegrams.] LONDON, Nov. 25. Not so Powerful as in England. At the municipal elections which took place to-day at Cork, in Ireland, various candidates professing sympathy with the Land League, were defeated by considerable majorities. A New Colonial Knight. The London Gazette to-day contains the announcement that the dignity of Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George has been conferred upon the Hon Joshua Peter Bell, President of the Legislative Council of Queensland. BERLIN, Nov. 25. Bismarck's Policy. At the meeting of the Reichstag today Prince Bismarck made a statement in which he alluded to the situation of Government in view of the result of the elections. The Chancellor announced that in the case of the failure of the projects which he would lay before Parliament he would resign the conduct of Home affairs, entrusting the same to the Vice-President of the Council, while he would himself alone retain the control of the Foreign Affairs of the Empire. LONDON, Nov. 25. Commercial Intelligence. Consols are unchanged. New Zealand securities are without quotable change. Adelaide wheat, ex store, has declined Is, and is quoted to-day at 565. New Zealand wheat; remains at 52s 6d. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 2,400,000 quarters. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, 425. Australian tallow — best beef, 395 ; best mutton, 41s 6d. At the wool sale to-day 8200 bales were offered, making a total of 29,900 bales catalogued since the opening. Active demand was experienced for all descriptions. MELBOURNE, Nov. 26. Why Don't they See About It. The latest intelligence from Hobart regarding the reported outbreak, is to the effect that a brilliant illumination is visible from the town, but no authentic news has yet been received regarding the disturbance. SYDNEY, Nov. 26. Not Much to Crow About. The match was concluded at Newcastle to-day, and resulted in a draw in favour of the local team. The Twenty-two in their first innings scored 79, and the Englishmen in their second 75. In the second innings, Newcastle had loßt ten wickets for 79 runs, when time was called. ADELAIDE, Nov. 26. Favourable NewsAccounts of the South Australian wheat crop are favourable, and it is expected that there will be an average yield of 7 bushels to the acre.
