THE S.S. DUEHAM, FOR LONDON.
This fine steamship took her departure for London last evening. Shortly before 1 p.m. a warning whistle was blown, and visitors and others down to say good-bye to friends going Home wero got ashore, and a little later the steamer moved off from the wharf, under the pilotage of Captain M'Lellan, the Harbour Master, and out into the stream, anchoring off tthodes' Bay. Everything being in readiness on board, and the usual search for uninvitad guests aboard having been made, the big steamer got undor weigh shortly after 6 p.m. and steamed out of the harbour. The Durham has a large supply of coal aboard, enough, it is thought, to take her Home, as Captain Anderaon is oangnine of making the passage in SO or 51 days, hoping to be able to avoid calling at St. Vincent for coal should the winds prove anything like fair. The steamer left the harbour in fiae trim, and should make a good paaaage. The comfort of those going Home in her ajpeira to have bean carefully stndied, and the medical officer is Dr Husband, who is well known in the passenger trade tot we en here and England. We wiah Captain Anderson and hit officers a pleasant and speedy -voyage Home, and Lope to see the s.s. Durham revisit the port in due course.
