C HRISTMAS SERVICES.

LINCOLN. On Christmas Eve a midnight service- washeld at St. Stephon's Church, Lincoln. Prayers were read by Eev W. Dunkley, Curate in charge; and tho eurofe, "The First Nowell," "Christmas Hymn," and " Christmas Night," wero sung by the choir. On Christmas Day a full chc-ral service was held at St. Mary's, Springston. ab 11 a.m., when the church was crowded to excess. Besides the above-mentioned carols, hymns 43 and 47, A and M, were sung by the combined onoirs of Lincoln and Springston. Qhe day following being St. Stephen's Day, evensong wa3 held at St. Stephen's Lincoln. The service was semi-choral, and the anthem, " Let us now go even unto Bethlehem," was sung. The flev W. Dunkley preached on each occasion, and tho musical portion of the services was under the direction of the organist and choirmaster, Mr Gates. Both churches were neatly and appropriately decorated.
