THE REV. FATHER GINATY ON THE OUTRAGE.

«. At fcho Catholic Church yesterday, allusion wa9 made at tho various services throughout tho day to tho disgraceful conduct of a few who, unfortunately, allowed their passions to get the hotter of then), and so perpetrate that which has brought sorrow and regret over every Catholic doserving the namo throughout tho land. At vespers the Church was crowded, and Eev Father Ginaty entered moro fully into tho matter, denouncing in strong terms tho conduct of those who took part in tho disturbance of Friday la3t. He took for his text " Glory to God in tho Highest, and on earth, peace to men of good will." In pointing out tho way in which glory is to bo given to God, ho referred to the love which it is the imperative duty of every Christian to bear his neighbour, quoting several passages of Scripture in support of the precept. The Rev Father then contrasted tho conduct of tho men who had created the lamentable disturbance of Boxing Day with that which it wes their duty to observe towards all men, and denounced in forcible language ' the diabolical action, which, he said was prompted by the Demon. He hoped ho had no occasion to apologise for his peoplo as a body, as he was certain that tho belter portiou of the public allowed that tho

Catholics, as a body, regretted such conduct equally if not moro than thoy did ; yet he thought right, a9 their parish pries', to state their entire disapprobation and abhorrence of Euch conduct. He oautiored men in taking upon themselves responsibilities they had no right to, and hoped the public would exonerato his flock, as a body, from having any act in tho affair. He warned them to live peaceably with their neighbours, £nd to remember tho words of our Lord, " Love your neighbours as yourselves," &c, and not to forget that one day they should be judged by One who would call them to account for all the actions of thpir lives.
