VICTORIA.
A deputation of tho City Council has asked Government to give a cite in Flinders street for a grain market. Government has promised to consider the matter. A Supply Bill of a quarter million sterling passed through all its stages in the Assembly. The House adjourned to-day till Jan. 20, then to bo prorogued on Feb. 1, and dissolved next day, owing to thegoneral election, to a fortnight later.
