UNITED METHODIST FREE CHURCH.
A Bervice was held in tho St Asaph street church on Christmas Eve. Prayers were offored by the Ecv S. Macfarlane, who also, read the lesson and delivered an appropriate address. The following music was sung by the choir, tho congregation joining in the hymns :— Hymn, " Hark, tho glad sound ;" "Adeste Fideles " (No vello), " Arise, shino, for Thy light is come," "Thou didst not leave " (Handel) ; hymn, " Hark, the herald angols " (Mendelssohn) ; anthem, "In tho beginning was the word" (G-. B. Allen) ; solos, " He shall feed His flock " and " Come unto me" (Handel) ; solo and chorus of basses, " Nazareth " (Gounod) ; eolo, " I know that my Eedeemer liveth " (Handel) ; Sanetus from 12th Service (Mozart) ; hymn, "Christians awake." Service was also hold on Christmas morning, the Eev S. Macfarlane being tho preacher. The music at both services was efficiently rendered by tho choir, under the direction of Mr Macleod Smith, who presided at tho harmonium.
