The people of Rangitikei, a district of 'Wellington, are bestirring themselves about the introduction of trout. A gentleman whose trade Las been that of a : salmon-fisher, spoke very highly of the Biver •Bangitikei for trout and salmon breeding, and said he would bo willing to give £5 for a small quantity of trout ova, on their arrival, for the purpose of stocking a lake on his property. •About twenty-five guineas were subscribed in ■■ the room.
