a Mr Bteven9 last night received! a vote of confidence from a meeting- at the Gaiety Theatre, and Mr Bowen a similar vote at Kaiapoi. The Hon J. T. Fisher received an all but unanimous vote of confidence from the electors of Heathcoto. Mr W. Goodwin, a working man, has announced his determination to contest the district witb Mr Fisher, and will address the electors to-night at Lincoln. The Hon J. Hall received a vote of confidence at Leeston on Monday evening. Mr Wearing's speech dates are advertised, his first address being at Kaiapoi this evening. Mr ; Woollcombe addressed the electors of the Timaru district at the Pareora school-house on Monday night, and received a vote of confidence. Mr Turnbull will address the electors of Timaru at the Mechanics' Instituto Hall to-morrow evening. He will speak at Pleasant Point on Friday night.
