Mr Mackay and Captain Blake loft town for Parihaka this afternoon.

Robt. McMillan was charged yesterday at fche Police-court; by Joshua Jones, with making a felonious a9Bault upon him at Mokau on April 1. Tho case was adjourned till to-morrow. McMillan is ono of the pioneer acttlera living at Mokau, and haß laid an information against Joshua Jones for assaulting his (McMillan's) wifo. The evidence will consist of Maori witnesses.

A telegraph office lias been opened at Orato.
