ASHBURTON.

/ The new patent brick kiln, which has 'been in course of erection for some time, at Ashburton, has just been completed by Messrs Montgomery and Co. The whole of the machinery has been fixed, and the works are now ready for turning out a large number of bricks. A full account of the modo of working this machinery has already appeared in our columns. The satisfactory results from the first practical test of this kiln prove that both the quulity and number of the bricks which can be turned out fully realise the expectations of the enterprising jfirm who erected the works, and Messrs and Co. deserve to be congratulated on the success of their enterprise.
