An avalanche descended from Mount Bleyberg, at the rear of the town of that name, in Gavinthia province, in Austria, and killed 50 persona. It created great consternation among the villagers. The destruction was spread over a wide field, damaging some lead mines, and carrying away the works in connection with them. Many were injured. March 22. A commercial panic has occurred at New Orleans, and there has been a run on the Banks in that City. r Hostilities have been recommenced /by Lord Chelmsford. Colonel Pearson has bux-ned King Cetewayo's kraal. In the engagement which took place by far the heaviest loss was sustained by the Zulus.
