Auckland, July 20. Arrived — Schooner Josephine, from Lyttelton. Sailed -Albatross, for Lyttelton. Hokitika, July 22. On Saturday last the steamer llullough was engaged to lighter the Prosperity in the roadstead. She transhipped 40 tons, and while eutenni^ in jesterday atternoon a heavy sea struck her, breaking the side rod of the engine, whioh completely disabled her. Losing her way, and the tide being on the ebb strong, the outward current gradually carried the iK>at astern, beacbing her on Beach Spit high and dry. It will require considerable outlay to get her off. She is uninsured. The Garibaldi arrived in the roadstead, also the Prosperty last Saturday. Both put to sea yesterday through stress of weather. The Zephyr sailed on July 30 for Melbourne via Qreymouth. Captain Edwin's forecasts for the last three months have been exceedingly reliAble. Pobt Chalmers, July 20, Sailed— Barqus Ceylon, for Newcastle j brig Moa, far Timaru. Pobt Chalmees, July 21. Arrived— Stella, at 4.30 p.m. oa Saturday. Bailed— New Zealand Shipping Company's chartared ship Margaret Galbraith, for London, with 19 passenger* and a full cargo of grain, wool, hides, ana the largest quantity of sold yet shipped from the Port; .
