CHRISTCHURCH. This Dat. (Before C. C. Bowen, Esq., R.M.) Dbonkennebs. — Michael Henneasy, for hav~ ing been drunk and incapable yesterday, was dismissed with a caution, it being his first appearance. . Si/r Grog Selling. — Edward Morriaey was charged with having illegally sold less quantities than two gallons of liquor at his house, Selwyn Forks, but the case not being clearly established, he was dismissed with a caution. Horse Stealing.— Charles Henry Mathews, for this offence, was remanded to the Waiau, in the Nelson province, the warrant having been issued there. Bcthglary and Petit Larcent. — Albert Hyman, George Edwards, and Harry Symonds, were brought up in custody, charged on three separate informations with baring stolen sundry articles in various parts of the city, but the police not being quite prepared to ro on with the case, they were remanded until Monday. Dvngerous Practice. — Charles Johnston and Alexander Johnston, two volunteers in the Chriatchurch Artillery, were charged with having wilfully fired off ball cartridge at Addington, thereby endangering the life of Mrs Wright. Lengthy evidence was taken, but the case was ultimately adjourned for witnesses for the defence. Riotous Conduct. — Patrick Ford was fined 209 each on two separate informations charging him with having been guilty of drunkenness and riotous conduct at the Selwyn Railwa/ Station.
