Wellington, July 23, 7.57 p.m. The latter part of Mr Fox's resolution last night was altered to tbe following effect : — " That this House will make provision for uayment of such sum as the Imperial Government lnav require for the detention of the troops till such time as its decision is made known." The resolution was unanimously agreed to. A similar resolution was passed in the Legislative Council on a division;, by 19 to 2. Dr Featherston leaves for Australia by the Omeo, to-morrow. The debate on Mr Rolleston's resolutions was continued. Messrs Buuny, "Wilson, Armstrong, and Fox, opposed. Mr Travers supported, and Mr Williamson moved the adjournment.
