The n.s. Beautiful Star, Captain Christian, arrived in harbour this morning, at 10, from Dunedin, via intermediate ports ; left Port Chalmers at 1 a.m., on Tuesday ; airived at Oamaru at 7 a.m. ; left again at 1 p.m. ; arriving as above. The N.Z. and A.R.M. Co.'s s.a. Gothenburg, Captain Underwood, arrived in harbour this morning, at 10.50, from Melbourne, via Bluff and Duuedin. She sailed from Hobson's Bay at 4 p.m. on the 19th instant; cleared Port Phillip Heads at 7 p.m.; passed Swan Island at the same hour on the following day? experienced fine weather on the run across; passed the S. W. Cape at 7 a.m. on the 24th, and entered Blui* Harbour afc 1 1 p.m.; discharged cargo, and sailed at 3.30 p.m., arriving at Port Chalmers at dayl:ght next morning Iv consequence of tho alteration of the bar, she was signalled to heave to, and the pilot coining off, brought her in through tbe North Channel; discharged 190 tons cargo and received, on board a quantity of grain and wool; sailed at 2 p.m. on the 29 th, arriving at Lyttelton as abo'e; experienced fine weather with light .'head winds throughout the passage.
