Cjiildken's Treat. — We understand that his Royal Highness will visit the Drill-shed this evening, prior to the ball at the Provincial Council Chamber. He will be presented with an address and Bible. LrTTEi/roN Cadet Corps.: — I* is notified in a New Zealand Gazette published on April 10 that his Excellency has been pleased to accept the services of the Lyttelton Artillery Volunteer Cadet Corps. The Gour&ats. — The Theatre Royal was crammed in every part last night, and the performances of these artistes were, as usual, hailed with vociferous applause. To-night will close the present season at Christchurch. Concert. — Last night a concert was given in the Town Hall in aid of the funds of the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry Corps. There was a large attendance, and the whole passed off very satisfactorily. His Royal Highness remained in the hall until the termination of the first part. He was loudly cheered on leaving the hall. The royal carriage passed through the High street arch on its way to the Clarendon, and loud cheers rent the air along the entire route.
