TITOKOWARU'S LATEST MANIFESTO.

The following is Tito's manifesto, referred to in onr issue of yesterday. We are indebted to the editor of the Wanganui tanicle for a proof slip : — t the Defence meeting of Sunday last following letter from Titokowaru to mcl Whitmore, sent in hy the two rebels who are now prisoners in the Wanganui jail, was read by Mr Booth, R.M. : — Wereroa, Dec. 5, 1868. A word of advice. To Whitmore. A question to you. To whom does England belong ? To whom does this place belong on which you are standing ? My word to you. In one day the heaven and the earth were made. In one day man was made and all things contained therein. If you understand that God made these things it is well. You were made a pakeha and England was made for you. I was made a Maori and New Zealand was made for me. You did not recollect that a great division [gulf] was between us, the great sea. ; You ceased to remember this fact and crossed over from thafc-place to this. I did not cross over from this place to that. My word to you — move out of my place to your, own places in the midst of the sea. Clear out of the town [Wanganui] and all other pjaces • Stand up be baptised, that you may be w;ashed, from,yQur sins, and, .call on the jnajne of the Lord. ' Cease. From iT*-. TITOKOWARUJ
