London, Sept. 29. A great revolution has broken out in Spain, headed by the Duke de La Torre aud General Prim, who was commander of the troops in Cadiz. The insurgents immediately became masters of Andalusia, Seville, Estrainadura, Corunna, Galicia, and Santander. A Provisional Government has been formed under the Presidency of Gen. Espartero. He published a manifesto in favour of the liberty of the press, education, religion, and commerce j also universal suffrage and the abolition of the Bourboa dynasty. The late Ministers and Queen have fled into France. A battle between the Queen's troops and the forces of the insurgents is hourly expected near Cordova. The iusurgeuts are masters of the whole fleet. General Prim, with three frigates, is anchored before Carthagena, which, toether with Grauada, subsequently joiued the revolutionists. Obstinate fightiug has occurred at Santauder, in which the insurgents were worsted. The reported demand by Italy for the evacuation of Rome by the French troops has been officially denied. The new American Minister Reverdy Johnson, has been instructed by the President to settle the Alabama question according to his own discretion. The Republicans have carried the elections in the State of Maine. The Oriental Bank has declared a dividend at the rate of 12 per cent. A panic occurred on the Paris Bourse on September 17, in consequence of the apprehensions of the outbreak of war being entertained. The King of Prussia made two pacific speeches. Serious disturbances have taken place in Georgia, in the United States of America ; thirty-five persons were killed. ,> It is stated that great reductions are contemplated in the British army, comprising, among others, a reduction in the strength of the forces in Australia. Madame Haehel has been convicted on her second trial for obtaining money under false pretences, and sentenced to five years penal servitude. Sir John Young, the late Governor of New South Wales, is appointed the Governor- General of Canada. Dean Milman is dead. The Messageries Imperiales is about to run steamers alternately with those of the P. and O. Company to China. London, Sept. 30. It caused a panic in Paris, where a strong warlike feeling is prevalent. His speech afterwards received a pacific interpretation from the official press. The attempt to assassinate the Viceroy of Egypt was made by dropping a ball on his carriage. The perpetrator is unknown. Mr Disraeli has issued an address to his constituents. He reviewa the Conservative Administration, aud also declares the army and navy to be effective. He re-affirms his uncompromising hostility to Mr Gladstone's Irish Church policy, and affirms it to be dangerous, consummating the ends of Romish supremacy. London, Oct. 3. The inhabitants of Madrid have elected a Council Government under Sumpta by universal suffrage. The whole of Spain has joined in the revolution against Queen Isabella.
