A CORRECTION.

TO THE EDITOR OK THE STAR. Sir, — I beg to correct a statement of a match which appeared in ) r our issue of Saturday last. It was there stated that the match was a return one to that pulled last year between the same boats. It is nothing of the kind, but entirely a private match between myself and the Ariel Boating Club. I sent the challenge and received tbe answer. The Canterbury Rowing Club have nothing whatever to do with it further than the Nameless being their boat and my being a member of that club. Your obedient servant, E. J. DUDLEY. Oct. 27, 1808.
