THE EIGHTEENTH REGIMENT GOES TO THE FRONT.

Wellington, This Day. The discussion on the retention of the troops lasted till ten o'clock last night. Messrs Atkinson, Taylor, Bell, and Travers, each moved an amendment, but they met with but little support. The original resolution was carried by 34 to 13. Ordinary business, of no particular interest, followed. The House adjourned at 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, when the first discussion on the Limitation of Legislative Council Bill will be taken. Both companies of the 18th Begiment proceed to Wanganui to-day.
