TAR-SEALING OF SCHOOL PLAYGROUNDS
WORK TO BE COMPLETED THIS WEEK Advice that the contractors, Messrs Wright, Stephenson aval Co., were expected to complete the Work ok improvements on the primary department's grounds at the coming week-end was conveyed to the monthly meeting of the Te Puke District High School this week by the headmaster (Mr F. Cook). The ma.ior portion of the play ground ir.d been tar sealed, while a ret lining watt, three recess pits and channelling had been constructed in concrete. . The eommiili-e "had been pdeviouslv advised by the Auckland Education Board that iwn :;cp-rale subsidies of C.".nn "and .11250 had bi-eii granted towards the cost of this work.
