Te Puke Sale
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. reports as follows on its Te Puke Stock Sale, held on Tuesday, June Ist: Pigs were yarded in smaller numbers but met with a good sale, values for light porkers and store pigs showing a marked increase on our last sale. Some good quality Jersey and Friesian heifers met witn a fair demand. Beef cattle were keenly sought after and prices for store cattle were on a par with recent sales.

Cattle.— Young, fat cows and heifers £3 16/ to £4 12/, light fat cows £3 to £3 11/, store cows £2 10/ to £3 5/,.boner cows £2 3/ to £2 17/, light boners £1 8/ to £l 15/, potter bulls £l 12/ to £4/, Jersey heifers well forward in calf £6 5/ to £6 12/6, calved Jersey heifers £5 7/6 to £6 2/6, Friesian heifers £6 2/6 to £7, Jersey Cross heifers £5 5/ to £6 2/6, aged dairy cows £2 15/ to £4 12/. Pigs.—Light baconers £2 14/ to £2 19/, heavy porkers £L 18/ to £2 7/, light porkers £l 6/ to £l 14/, choppers £l 1/ to £2 l/, store pigs 16/6 to 25/6, slips 10/6 to 14/, weaners 8/ to 10/.
