Jubilee Notes

A meeting of the Te Puke District High School Old Pupils’ Association will be held in the Town Board Office on Monday evening next. As the business is in connection with the forthcoming Jubilee celebrations', all old pupils who can possibly do so should attend.

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the Jubilee Celebrations last evening it was decided that all profits from the Jubilee be solely used in the interests of the 5 schools concerned and under the control of the Te Puke SohooTCommittee.

A monstor three-decker cake, with fifty oandles will be cut and distributed at the Jubilee Social and Old Time Dance on Saturday, 19th August. Messrs R. Bell and C. P. Carthew have advised that they will make a donation of this cake to the Jubilee Committee.

Mr Geo. Sweet-man is also giving a suitable souvenir to the old* est ex pupil attending the celfl* brations.

Parents and others who have not yet sent in completed lists of ex pupils and ex-teachers to the Secretary of the Jubilee Commit* tee, are ar&ksd. to do so as early as possible. This will assist the secretary in compiling the huge list of over 3000 ex-pupils who have passed through the school during the past 50 years, and allow him to communicate with each one individually.
