Rotorua And Bay of Plenty Hunt Club
Meat At Paengaroa Showery weather somewhat marred the Rotorua-Bay of Plenty Hunt Clubs last meeting held at Paengaroa on WedaCsday and in some measure for the casualties'ontheuayjihere being several spills! whilst? Mr G. Web ster was unfortunate enough to lose his mount, which dropped dead whilst taking a hurdle. The pack put up a number of hares over the properties of Messrs Verooe, Levis and Mathews and several exciting runs were followed with much enthusiasm, but no kill resulted. During afternoon tea, Dr Bertram, Master, complimented the Club on its very successful year adding that he hoped next year would be an even greater success, He also warmly thanked those gentlemen who had granted the use of their properties for the hunting and the local ladies who have so willingly supplied afternoon tea on each occasion. These remarks were greeted with much cheering. The Deputy Master, Mr lnnes Yercoe, then led cheers for the Master, which were closely followed by cheers for himself, the Huntsmen, the Whip, the Secretary, the ladies present and the lady press reporters thus concluding a very jolly function and an eventful Hunt season.
