TOMORROW'S SHOW

INCREASE IN ENTRIES The entries for tomorrow’s Autumn Show total roughly about 350 and show a marked increase over those of last year. The figure In the various classes are as follows Light Horses 65 Draught Horses 27 Fat Cattle 61 Shorthorns ..52 Jerseys .....92 Friesians .....83 Dairy Cattle ....v.; ......63 Pigs 25

The majority of the classes in the section for saddle horses are well filled, amongst the exhibitors being Messrs A. Brown, S. Darragh and Mrs Selby of Tauranga, and Mr Humphrys of Katikati.

In draughts the principal exhibitors are Messrs Thos Witherow, H. J. Gill, J. Collins, W. J. Law, T. Heatheringfcon and the Arawa Trust Board.

There will be good competition in the Dairy Shorthorns, those entering in this section being Messrs Black Bros., D. Gardiner, FI. A. Vercoe, D. Malyon, W. J. Law, F. Donovan, A. B. Morton, W. Bird and N. Larsen. The various classes in Pedigree Jerseys are well-filled, such well-known breeders as Messrs Wickham Bros., W. F. Mundt, S. J. Collins, R. MoEwen, E. 0. Webber, K. Bennett, F. E. Watson, C. 'Luke, A. Snodgrass and G. F. D. Watson having entered animals. Thero wili also be good competition in Grade Jerseys. Friesians are another popular class, and thoro will be a very tine display of the black and whites from the herds of Messrs T. Hetherington, S. W. McEwen, B. G. Pinker, S. W. Mitchell, E. 0. Webber, R. Tanner, W. Graveson and A. Beazley. The dairy cattle olasses and speoial olasses are well supported.;. The show of fat cattle also promises to be one of the best for some years past, Messrs 'Tanner Bros., H. J. Gill, L. Sisam, T. Witherow and R; King having entered freely. These breeders are also bringing forward entries in the olasses for store cattle,

The entries in the pig classes, although not as numerous as last year will he found to comprise gome rery fine annuuais in the different breeds.

. Taken as a whole the show shou’d be a decided improvement on that of 192? and should be well worth a visit by; townspeople as well as country .residents*
