SOUTH AUCKLAND RACES (March 27th and 28tb.; THE South Auckland Racing Club's meeting offers strong inducement to all turfites able to make the trip. For the first time in several years Claudelanda will be the scene of two days' racing, and the programme promises to furnish first-class sport. The club have a strong management of enthusiastic sportsmen, so that everything in connection with the meeting will be well arranged. The course should be in good order if the weather holds fine irom now, and, with a good prospect of first-rate fields, there is every reason to anticipate a most interesting two days' outing. The rapid growth of the Hamilton and the surrounding districts will be reflected on the racecourse, and those journeying from Auckland may be prepared to see a big countryside attendance. Apart from the sport, the trip itself is most enjoyable, the course is prettily situated, and its surroundings, at this time of the year, should be at their best. Holiday excursion tickets will issued by the Railway Department on both days of the meeting, available for return on Monday, whilst a special train will run on Saturday, leaving Auckland at 6.45 a.m.
