WELLINGTON
The Idlers' Club gave a ball on Thursday, 20th inst. Taking it all round, it was an immense fUCcess...Miss M H looked very pretty, as well as her sisters Misses M an 1 SH. No wonder W A was making sheep's eyes at her. B\V looked anything but happy over it... W C would have made a good waiter if he hadu't put so much stull away for himself.. M O would have made a good MC if he hadn't devoted so much attention to Miss S H . .It made things hum a bit when C L capsized with Miss M..T M looked very happy with Miss M H in the corner. .."Where was G P H's girl ? I think if he had looked he would have found her mashing WB..JN was great on the trifle, but why didn't he take Miss A W to the ball instead of mashing Mi' s A B ?...G O was doing the heavy with all the gir15.. .15 LeG looked after Miss G A very well . . H H promised to take Miss J H home but MP cut him out. Things look very gloomy in that quarter now . .No wonder F b" 1 looked dismal when Misses FJ P and E B slipped him up for the ba11...! hear the joung ladies are anxiously looking forward for another Idlers' ball.
