The social at the Foresters' Hall on Monday evening was a very enjoyable affair. Visitors from town were present, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy themselves. The mashing during the evening was very noticeable... G M and K D looked very loving together. It seems like business.G Too bad of H B to go out with T G from Onehunga and slip the Panmure boys up for their dances. .What a noise W W and J It made when they lost their overcoats and hats.. W ho is the young man that takes the school-girl to the opera ? Take care, or there will be a charge of child stealing. . .M C looked very down-hearted at the social. Was it bt cause L A was not there ?. .Too bad of A L to take R B to the football social, and leave her to go home herself. .T C looked very annoyed when W W took S W home.. Wasn't J S doing the heavy with the two girls from Onehunga? Was he not frightened of catching cold, sitting so close to the door?. . Too bad of M E, of the hotel, to give D C the goby.. Who was the young man that took the trap to bring the lady from Ellerslie ? Surely not T M...Does J E think there is no one more suitable than her brother to take her to the dances?. .D H and E L were doing a great mash at the social. The O M must admit they looked fetching. .Some of the young ladies would be very much obliged if Mrs B would bring a cot to the dances for the baby, and not use their cloaks.. .The O M would like to know why J P will not swing with J T in the square dances?... What takes H D out to Panmure bo often? Ib it to see EM?
