Our district is as gay as ever since J.W. and C.K. returned to our midst... W.C. from Pokeno, seemß to enjoy himself. What will the Maketu girl say when she hears it. .. Little T. 6. seems to be a real lady-killer.. .B.S.W. is walking lame since he read last week's 0.. .Was it to buy the ring or get his photo- taken that P.H. went to town last week ? Don't forget the 0.M., P. wlien the cake is passing round. . . A.P. is often heard singing of an evening 'Willie I Have Missed You.',.
What's the attraction for W.C. over at Maketu every Sunday afternoon ? . . H.H.B. seems to be very quiet of late. Is he contemplating matrimony ?..B.B. says B.P. and himself are whales at the barn-dance.
..Who was the Maketu young lady J.S. went down to see the other Sunday when he did not go to Mercer with J.E. ?. . A.S. says she likes a man with a trade. How do you like blacksmiths, £.. ?
