PROGRESS OF THE OBSERVER.

ANOTHER ENLARGEMENT.

Consistent with oar promise in a reoent issue that we would continue to make improvements in the Observer, in recognition of the generous patronage accorded as throughout the colony, we have to-day enlarged our paper by a further four pages, making it now twenty eight pages in all. Within the last few weeks we have fitted up one of Dawson's double-demy printing machines of latest design, with the result that we are now enabled to print the paper on our own premises. Previously, the machining wa3 done by Mr D. J. Wright, of Albert-street, to whom we are indebted for the excellent fulfilment of this contract during its existence. We have also at much expense added to our business the zinoographio prooess of illustration, and for the future our pictures will be produced by this process instead of being lithographed. This will be a great improvement, for not only will the pictures themselves be mtsoh bolder but they will be scattered throughout the paper, giving it a brighter and even more attractive appearance than it how possesses. This zinoographio process will also enable us to execute pictures for advertising and other purposes at prices much below thos9 hitherto charged in this colony. We trust that these changes will be appreciated by our readers everywhere. That they will make the Observer a more valuable medium for advertising than ever is beyond question.
