PANMURE.

On Wednesday, 14th inst, a dance was held in the old schoolroom, Panmure, in aid of the children's picnic. It proved to be a very satisfactory affair, as there was a good attendance of the lovers of Terpsichorean art, and all who were present enjoyed themselves to their hearts' content. The room was tastefully decorated by Miss Cook and several other ladies. Ifc wo^d be difficult fcr me to select any particular one for the honour of belle, as all the ladies present appeared to be belles in the eyes of the writer ; but amongst those who showed to the best advantage were Misses Rogers (2), Macinerny, Carter, Newall, Walsh, Rawlinson, Oook, Burke, Wren, Kay (3) and Mrs Hamlin. Dancing was kept going until the small hours of the morning, and all went home well pleased with the evening's amusement.
