A Flood of Sunlight Glory.
Electric lighting does not seem to be a marked success in Wellington. The Catholic Tims says: " When the moon and the electric light are both full on, our streets are quite bright— only they are never on at th«* same time. When the full moon is blazing on high, the electric light is turned off, and when the moon is turned off there is not enough electric light to swear by. Wellington is not fortunate in its improvements. It has a destructor which won't destroy, and an electric light capable of no more illuminating power than a fat and healthy glow-worm.
—Niagara (9st 31b), who ran in Mr F. W. Day's colours, was amongst the starters for the Bosehill July Handicap. He was very big, and walked in a long way behind the rest of the field.
