NEW MARKET.
Great mashing 1 at the social the other night; lots of spoons missing, everything a success. The Misses H. looked charming, also did the Misses T.. By- the- bye I hear P. A. is going to Melbourne, and G.H.N. is going to follow for a trip. What will Miss T., of Symonds-street, do, eh P...D. is a member of the union... J.T. doing a mash with L.R. and N.M....What has become of N. ? Has he gone at last ? I heard she eaid new brooms sweep clean; there's a show, J.P. ; bear up, old boy... W.F. is becoming a regular ladies' man ; got no less than three now... What's the attraction for J. B. in Newmarket? I'll keep my eye on you, J... H.M. is a charming singer, so the ladies say... What was J.B.s song at the social? It was a decided hit. I hear he gave poor G. away, though. Better luck next time...W.F. is writing a book on ' Love at First Sight ' (copyright). I suppose he never felt it.
