OATMEAL BREAD.

Half a pint of oatmeal, one and a half pints of flour, and one and a half teaspooufuls of salt, three of baking powder, three-fourths of a pint of sweet milk. Boil oatmeal in one and a half pints salted water one hour ; add milk; set aside until cold, then place in a bowl ; sift together flour, salt and powder, and add more flour if needed ; mix smoothly and deftly; bake in greased tin forty five minutes, the cover with paper and bake twenty minutes longer.
