FOUND IK A COFFIN
Mv "Wallace (who has been twice married, his second wife being a widow named Fo - d) has lately dird, leaving- foru grown-up sons by his fir&t wile, and four younger ones by his second wife, who survived him. Before Mr Wallace's death, he told his elder children, he had properly provided for them in. his will, but after his death no will could be found. The estate was disposed of according to lav.' ; the children each received a portion, and t-ho widow her third, and she was also appointed administratrix of the estate. At her death she left a will, disposing of the property that remained to her own children and the daughter by her first husband, but leaving out tho elder branch of the Wallace family. The proceedings passed through the usual course in the probate court, and the matter was regarded as settled. Tho elder Wallaces firmly believed that their father had left a will, and continued their search, and after searching for some time for the missing will, thfiy determined to exhume the body to see if the missing document could be found in the coffin. An undertaker was employed, and the grave was opened in presence of proper witnesses. The deceased had been bixriecl in a dress suit, and between the vest and shirt was the missing will. How it ever got there, and by whom it was there placed, is a detep mystery, but the eldest children have reason to be thankful ifc was found.
