She conducts her service with a screen behind her, an arrangement which cuts off from the people on the platform all but transient glimpses of the fair revivalists, a state of affairs not to be borne by anyone who had not. previously been indulged with a front view. She declaims her hymns, spouts her prayers, and reduces her addresses to so many dramatic points, which she makes relentlessly one by one, pausing in a circo-religious manner for the crop of " arnens" and " hallelujahs" with which her discourse is liberally rewarded.
