LAND EEFORMS.
We understand that by the last mail Sir George Grey received a letter from the Council of the Land Nationalization Society of England enclosing a resolution offering the warmest congratulations of the Society to Sir George and his colleagues, for their legislative action- in respect to the land laws of New Zealand, and the excellent measures they have passed. Other letters show that the party of reform in England entertain the very highest opinion of Sir G. Grey's Land Bill, as one of the most practical and enlightened measures of the kind ever conceived. Overtures have been made by the party to Sir George to visit England in order to' give the Council the benefit of his experience and study of the intricate questions of reform in the land laws, but we are informed that he does not feel that at this stage his absence from the Colony would be advantageous to the interests of his party, and the cause he has so long championed.
