BarstoAV, R.M., has neA'er (Query — does he mean "hardly cA r er") had a ticket in any lottery or SAveep. 6. That the dressmakers of Parnell have lost their constant attendant. 7. That a certain small shopkeeper is still suspiciously joyful over the late fire in Queenstreet. 8. That Ananias Brame's idea of sarcasm is to call the Observer "a thing." 9. That Aye are utterly crushed by the cruelty of the Free Press and merely ask to be alloAved to put up the shutters and die. 10. That despite these facts Aye have resolved to forgive our moribund contemporary and even to "chuck" the poor devil of a propiietor a shilling next time he goes round .vith the hat. 11. That the young lady of Parnell Avho has had her photograph taken in boating costume j looks charming and is considered considerably above A 1 at Lloyds. 12. That it Avas just as well for "Cockatoo " Abbot he did not repeat his offensive remark the other day or Long Jim (for a dead certainty) would haA r e doubled him up.
