KAIHERE BRIDGE.

NEW STRUCTURE OPENED.

CEREMONY AT DOMAIN ALSO. Between 300 and 400 witnessed the opening of the new Kaihere Bridge yosterday. Mr. A. J. McDonald, chairman of the Settlers' Association, interestingly traced the history of the settlement. The County chairman, Mr. C. W. Parfitt, and Cr. J. F. Mayn also spoke.

Mr. J. M. Allen, M.P. for Hauraki, declared the bridge open, and Mrs. Benny cut the ribbon. Luncheon was provided at the Domain, where Mr. C. R. Petrie, M.P. for Otahuhu and formerly Hauraki, officially declared' the Domain open. The afternoon concluded with sports events for the children.
