SCARCITY OF BRISTLES.
NEW PLASTIC DESIGN. IMPROVEMENT ON “PORKER.”
With the price ot quality brushes sky-rocketing, clue to scarcity of bristles ordinarily obtained from China, du Pont engineers announce successful completion of experiments leading to the production of “Exton,” a new plastic bristle which improves on the usual product of “porkers.” Exton never saw a hog’s back. Made in a batch like bread dough, it is extruded through holes of the required size and virtually any desired length. It is not softened by water or saliva. All the present production will bo used for manufacturing du Pont toothbrushes.
