FATALITY IN THE NORTH,

[By Telegraph. —Press Association] WIIANGAREI, Sept. 30. As *the result of injuries suffered when a tree fell on him, Mr. Leslie Raymond Edge (33), a farmer, of Mauugataperc, died iu the Whangarei Hospital. Mr. Edge and his two brothers were constructing a road to a quarry where a tree which they were felling came down in the wrong direction. They then felled another tree with the object of driving the first tree into the desired position. As the second tree fell, howover, it twisted round and Mr. Edge was struck on the body.
